STEVE’S DREAM WOLF HUNT

GSCO put me in touch with my outfitter; BC & Beyond Outdoor Adventures.
I looked at their website and realized they offer several other hunts that interest me such as their Timber wolf hunts.
I’ve always wanted to kill a wolf and after several conversations with Marty Loring and Darren Bell they set me up with a wolf hunt in December of 2021.
The first day and a half we hunted out of a blind that was set up perfectly.
Although we never saw one we had fresh tracks all around us and the trails leading to it.
That evening of 12/7 Marty took us to another blind that was perfectly set up as well.
Just as the sun was setting a single black female came in to the bait and I dropped her as she was trotting.
After all these years I finally got a crack at a Timber Wolf !!
That night at Dinner Marty suggested laying off of that blind until late afternoon on 12/8 to let things settle down.
We hiked in to the blind mid afternoon Everything was quiet and still for a few hours but then it all changed!
A pack of seven or eight wolves started making their way to the bait from the timber.
Marty told me wait until the big Alpha male got to the bait.
As he started to feed the others stayed back about 300 yard waiting their turn.
As soon as he offered me a great 150 yard shot I dropped him!
He never knew what hit him.
He officially scores 17 4/16 SCI and the female achieved a Bronze award.
Needless to say I couldn’t be happier!
Now I’m planning my upcoming Black Bear hunt with Marty & Darren.

Late Season Mountain Goat

Winter goat hunts, while not for the faint of hart, can be incredibly rewarding. We are lucky in British Columbia to be able to hunt Mountain Goat in some areas of the province right until the end of Feb. This allows for a unique test of a hunters will and determination. If you can brave the weather, & steep icy climbs, you will be rewarded with a long haired trophy of a lifetime.

Tanisha’s Giant BC Black Bear

Congratulations Tanisha on her massive record book BC black bear she shot with BC & Beyond. Not bad for her first bear! Guided by Darren Bell.

Trophy Awards 2019

BC & BEYOND Outdoor Adventures

Once again, BC & BEYOND dominated all the top Black Bear awards for 2019. Congratulations to our hunters on taking some absolute giants last season.

BC Safari

Our new friend Mikhail joined us all the way from Spain for a late-season, multi-species hunt.  Mikhail ended up harvesting a Mountain Goat, Wolf, Lynx, and a Black Bear.

Eduardo’s Excellent Adventure

I believe what separates us from our competitors is our multispecies opportunities.  For example, Eduardo joined us from Oregan this fall and had tags for Moose, Black Bear, Deer, and Wolf.  During his 8 day hunt, Eduardo harvested big bull Moose, a giant Black Bear, Coyote, and had opportunities at Wolf, and Deer.

BIG BC BLACK BEARS

I truly believe we have some of the best Black Bear hunting in the world.  80% of the bears taken during our 2019 spring season made the record book and we should have a clean sweep of the top Black Bear awards for the 2019 Super Slam convention.  I challenge you to find any other outfitter who can claim that.  We have piles of bears and tons of country to hunt.  We continue to only take a handful of hunters a year so that everybody gets a chance to take home a giant BC Black Bear.

BC & B Hunters Clean Up 2019 Awards

BC & Beyond hunters took home 3 out of the 4 top Black Bear awards at the 2019 GSCO convention in Las Vegas.

Epic Elk Hunt

Our new friend George Bierman joined us this past season to try and harvest a big BC Rocky Mountain Elk.  George has hunted Elk lots in the past, and has taken some great bulls.  He really liked the mass and dark antlers our bulls have in central BC and was hoping to add one to his trophy room.  We only take 2 bulls a year out of of our herd so finding a mature bull is not hard to do.  Below is George’s bull…  exactly what he wanted a dark horned heavy BC Bull Elk.

Snow Storm Lynx

Our new friend Steve Andrade from sunny California joined us this past week for a late season Lynx hunt.  It just so happened that the day he arrived PG was hit with a record breaking snowfall that lasted 4 out of the his 5 days of his hunt.  Poor Steve and his guide Marty did their best to get around but they were very limited to where they could go, and with weather like that the critters just hunker down and wait out the weather.  Finally on the last day the skies cleared and the cats were on the move.  After a short calling sequence out popped a mature tom. Steve made a perfect shot and the rest is history.
